We celebrate Pioneer Day big time in Snowflake. Every ward does two floats for the parade. Fireworks after the rodeo, youth dance, foot races in the morning. Bryan got to ride a float as a missionary to the islands. Hoorah for Israel!
Riley discovered the fun of getting candy at parades.
We had a picnic at home and played in the pool. Then cleaned it up before an afternoon and evening summer monsoon rainstorm!
and earlier this week...
At family prayer Riley said, "I hear thunder." It actually wasn't thunder, although we hear quite a bit of that this time of year, it was the fireworks. We can see them from our house being shot from the Taylor rodeo grounds.
